The Efrain Anthony Marrero Foundation (TEAM)

The Efrain Anthony Marrero Foundation (TEAM), a non-profit corporation and a program under the Health Education Council, was formed in 2005 in memory of Efrain Anthony Marrero. Efrain took his life on 26 Sept 2004, three weeks after he stopped using steroids.

TEAM was founded by Efrain's parents, family and friends because of the lack of knowledge, and overwhelming dangers associated with steroid use amongst our youth. TEAM has been formally approved by the IRS for 501(c) (3) tax-exempt status.

Through our objectives and initiatives, we hope to prevent another family from experiencing such a devastating loss.
